Summary

A team of user researchers working on behalf of the Scottish Government, are reviewing how researchers have applied for access to data in the past, and whether they can create a new, improved online application process that would help researchers gain access to data, in the future.

They are looking for researchers who have applied for access to data in the past through Scottish Gov, NHS Scotland, Scottish Longitudinal, or similar panel based application process. They are hoping they can engage you in a 30-50 minute user testing session. They are conducting two sessions one on the 7th or 8th of September, and another on the 14th or 15th.

If you are interested in taking part please let Katerina know which date and time would work for you and she will send you an informed consent form to sign before the session. Please email Katerina at katya.gorkovenko@gov.scot

About the session: At the session they will give you a scenario, which would require you to make an application using their design, and you would try to use it. As it is a very rough draft, at this time, your feedback would be invaluable at helping them develop it further. After you test the design they will ask you some interview questions about the process of gaining access to data and opportunities for that to be improved more broadly.

Please contact, Dr Katerina Gorkovenko, katya.gorkovenko@gov.scot if you are interested and are able to join one of the testing sessions (date and times to be confirmed).
