Summary

Are you interested in the ADR UK Research Fellowships to conduct research and analysis using eligible ADR England flagship datasets? These fellowships are open to researchers at any career stage as well as those who are new to using administrative data.

ADR England flagship datasets are large, de-identified datasets, which enable researchers to develop unprecedented insights into our society at a population level. Covering a diverse range of themes – from education and health to agriculture and experiences of the justice system – these datasets can be used to answer pressing policy questions, to inform decisions that improve people’s lives.

Funding

ADR UK Research Fellowships are supported through ESRC funding, they can be up to 18 months in duration, and up to a maximum of £200,000 at full economic cost. ADR UK will fund 80% of full economic costs in line with the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)’s funding policy.

To find out about the fellowship scheme more broadly, please register for an online briefing on Monday 4 March, 12:00 – 13:00

This funding opportunity has a mandatory register of interest stage. Prospective applicants should register their interest to apply by 16:00 on 28 March 2024 - view instructions here.

Dr Iain Atherton, SCADR Research Lead for Health and Social Care, says:

This dataset will provide a basis to enable insights into the social determinants of the nursing and midwifery professions. As a registered nurse and academic, I am excited at the opportunities it provides to take forward policy-relevant research that can support our nurses and midwives. Huge credit to the Office for National Statistics, the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and our funders, ESRC, for making this possible.

Both SCADR and ONS were heavily involved in creating the NMC-Census 21 dataset, which is available via the Integrated Data Service.
