Dr Ana Morales-Gomez is a Research Fellow in the Safer Communities, equality and wellbeing research programme at SCADR, working with Professor Susan McVie. Her research interests are shaped by the use of quantitative methods for understanding inequalities in social phenomena with a special emphasis on prisons, crime and recidivism.
She has previously worked with Susan on violence and vulnerability, before leaving to become a Lecturer in Criminology at the School of Law, University of Sheffield. We are delighted that Ana has returned to Edinburgh and will be focusing on violence and vulnerability again, plus she will also be developing some new work around conviction and imprisonment.
